Gene has stated how well the air system takes the chill out of the house in the winter. Hail damage to his roof and old solar panel made an great opportunity to update his system. Gene also said that his previous air panel has paid for itself many times over which proves solar works!

Click on thumbnails to enlarge 1-04-08 Chad Moses, Salina, Kansas, recently purchased his new "A" frame cabin type home and wondered if the existing solar air collector could be brought back into working order. He decided to call BMK Plumbing and Solar of the Midwest to find out if this could be done. BMK replaced the damaged sensor with a new bulb stat with the help of Doug Miller Electric, checked thru the controller, fan motor, resecured the loose insulation and duct work supplying he collector. Chad was impressed with the amount of air and heat the solar air collector has put out so far this time of year. He said "Boy does that thing blow out the hot air! Bob is sure the system will cycle on longer with the growing days. We should see return on my investment for the repair this year". Pictured above with Chad is daughter Alexa who is holding judgment on repairs untill she feels warm in the house!

Click on thumbnails to enlarge 1-30-08 Ben & Mandy Middleton, Iola, Kansas decided to replace the existing solar air collector with a new Sunsiaray collector, the first in the state of Kansas. BMK Plumbing and Solar of the Midwest was able to secure Sunsiaray solar air collectors as a dealer while attending Solar 2006 in Denver, Colorado meeting up with Kenneth Pethers owner and manufacturer of this great collector. Ben decided to tackle the replacement himself and with the help of a few friends, after a few minor mishaps - all turned out well with the result being a great working system. Ben was very excited with the first day of operation when he called me to let us know that his furnace only cycled once all day! Ben will be giving us updates as we keep track of the solar system performance and savings.

Click on thumbnails to enlarge 9-23-08 Brad and Suzanne Roadhouse of Osborne, Kansas wanted to upgrade their solar air collectors so they choose Sunsiaray's solar air collectors to do the job of replacing the old ones. BMK Plumbing & Solar of the Midwest along with my friends at Pestinger Heating & Air out of Salina, Kansas demolished the old collectors and found the Sunsiaray air collectors to be a good fit in the space vacated by the old ones. The rain did't stop us from getting the job done. It sometimes seems when ever we install solar systems mother nature makes an appearance! Bob Dolan, owner of BMK, says "We know the new solar air collectors will preform much better than the old ones so Brad and Suzanne will see a nice difference as far as temperatures in the house. As always we will keep close tabs on how the collectors are doing for them". The tree pictured above will soon be coming down to give the solar air collector great coverage from the sun when it is at it's lowest points of winter time.

Click on thumbnails to enlarge 1-27-09 Plumbing and Heating Wholesaler Hajoca Corparation of Salina, Kansas has gone solar with two recently installed Sunsiaray solar air collectors which will space heat and also be used as "dual mode" system which means that when space heating is satisfied all of the energy being made from the solar collector will be rolled over to hot water heating. BMK owner Bob Dolan says "Paul Stock who manages Hajoca Corporation of Salina, Kansas and I have known each other for years. Paul has watched me push hard for renewable energy projects with good results, proven history performance and happy customers. I'm thrilled Paul has jumped on board to install this solar air system which he can show customers first hand how it works". The solar air system will dump hot air in the sales counter area were plumbers and HVAC contractors purchase their supplies. Upstairs will be set up with the "dual mode" feature which has an air to liquid heat exchanger to supply solar heating to the hot water tank when not needed for space heating. Stay tuned for updates
